Desta Mulat: Turning Her Summer Break into a Season of Service

Desta Mulat – Serving with Compassion and Purpose
During her summer break, Desta volunteered with the Tesfegnochu Voluntary Association, dedicating her time to care for the elderly and children. She helped wash clothes, bathe, and groom those in need, and provided soap to promote hygiene and health.
Together with her team, she painted school walls, organized a blood-donation drive during the Ashenda festival, and collected over 300 pieces of clothing and 37,531 birr to host a joyful New Year lunch for elders and children.
Her story is one of humble service—transforming her break into days of compassion, teamwork, and hope for her community.

Supporting Her Parents in Pest Cleaning, Waghimra Zone
