Tamer: Building Tech for Impact

A 3rd-year software engineering student at Bahir Dar University with a perfect 4.0 GPA, Tamer is developing tech solutions for real-world challenges. From mobile health apps to coding workshops for underserved youth, she’s shaping a future where technology empowers communities and includes everyone.

Teleka: Vision Beyond Sight

Despite her visual impairment, Teleka studies social science at Weldiya University with a 3.0 GPA. She is an advocate for disability rights and inclusion.

Haymanot: Rising Against the Odds

A 1st-year natural science student at Addis Ababa University with a 4.0 GPA, Haymanot was raised by a single mother working as a janitor. Her academic excellence reflects her dream to lift her family from poverty and inspire others from rural Wag.

Meseret: Future Health Leader

Meseret, from a farming family in Abergele, studies natural science at Hawassa University. With a 3.35 GPA, she is pursuing her dream of becoming a healthcare provider to serve her community.

Feven: Voice for Equity

Feven, from Sekota, is studying social science at Addis Ababa University with a 4.0 GPA. She’s passionate about community change and using public service to create a better future.

Netsanet: Breaking Barriers

Raised by a single mother who brewed local beer to support the family, Netsanet studies natural science at Wolayta Sodo University. Her journey is one of courage and hope.

Mesreye: Quiet Strength, Bright Future

Mesreye studies natural science at Bahir Dar University with a 2.57 GPA. Despite poverty and limited resources, she continues to push forward to change her life through education.

Mulu: Compassion in Action

From rural Abergele, Mulu is studying midwifery at Wollo University with a 3.2 GPA. Her goal is to serve mothers in remote areas and make childbirth safer for all.

Semira: Strength in Struggle

Semira, raised by a mother who begged for a living, studies natural science at Wollo University. Her 1.62 GPA reflects her uphill battle, but her determination remains strong.

Desta: Market to Midwife

Desta’s mother sold goods in the local market. Now in midwifery school at Wollo University, Desta is focused on giving back with a 2.7 GPA.

Rahel: Hope on the Margins

Rahel studies natural science at Weldiya University with a 2.16 GPA. Her story of persistence, despite poverty, inspires others to hold on to hope.

Abrehete: Breaking the Cycle

Born into a family of laborers in Sekota, Abrehete is now studying natural science at Haramaya University, determined to uplift herself and her community.

Adena: Rural Roots, Scientific Dreams

Adena, raised by a single mother farmer, is studying natural science at Bahir Dar University with a 2.5 GPA. She hopes to use science to solve rural challenges.

Sesen: Courage with Vision

Visually impaired and raised in poverty, Sesen studies social science at Wollo University with a 2.5 GPA. Her resilience lights the way for others with disabilities.

Zerfe: Engineering Hope

From Dehana, Zerfe is a 1st-year engineering student at Arba Minch University with a 3.33 GPA. Her dream is to build a better Ethiopia through technology.

Marta: Code with Compassion

Scoring 549 on her national exam, Marta is a top student in software engineering at Addis Ababa University with a 3.71 GPA. She is using tech to uplift others.

Hana: Innovating for Healing

Hana, a 3rd-year biomedical engineering student at Addis Ababa University with a 2.99 GPA, is committed to creating medical technologies for underserved communities.

Yitbarek: Turning Struggle into Purpose

Raised by a single mother in Sekota, Yitbarek Abebe scored 582 on Ethiopia’s national exam and now studies medicine at St. Paul’s. He aims to become a neurologist and mentor students from similar backgrounds.

Introducing Etsegenet: Sociology with Soul

Meet Etsegenet, who studies sociology at Mekelle University with a 3.63 GPA. She is passionate about amplifying the voices of rural women through education and advocacy.

Introducing Seble: A Determined Scholar Pursuing Dreams Against the Odds

Meet Seble, A 21-year-old scholar from a remote village in the Wag Himra Zone. With a dream of becoming an anesthesiologist, Seble is defying societal expectations and excelling in her second year of study. Her scholarship enables her to focus on her studies and achieve her aspirations.
